Summary
Pepper Paige is tired of her life as a dance hall girl and tired of fearing Jordan, a violent patron who is interested in her. When a stagecoach wrecks, and a woman dies in her room, Pepper assumes her identity and leaves town. The role Pepper has assumed is one of a refined Christian lady on her way to marry a rancher she only knows through letters. But the rancher has been killed by Indians and the man she goes to meet has assumed his identity. What will happen when the two imposters meet?
