Film was produced on behalf of the Wyoming Survey & Analysis Center, WYSAC, (University of Wyoming), which evaluates state and local policies affecting tobacco use, under contract to the Substance Abuse Division of the Wyoming Department of Health.
General Note
Laramie City Council members Jodi Guerin and Wendy Perkins introduced Ordinance 1650 on Aug. 3, 2004, to ban smoking in restaurants and bars in Laramie, Wyo. The ordinance passed 6-3 on Sept. 7, 2004. Opposition collected signatures to take it to a referendum at the general election, which passed and went into effect April 6, 2005. A lawsuit was filed claiming election irregularities, but a judge dismissed it.
