Summary
Ranching is a life of extremes on the high plains near Laramie, Wyo. Glen Swan and her husband, Will, work on the family ranch and struggle to raise their two children. Glen befriends Meg Braeburn, who takes up ranching on the place next to the Swans. In the meantime, the prodigal Swan son returns. Relationships shift; old resentments resurface, and friendships are strained.
