Gillette - The Boom Years was a program presented at Campbell County Public Library during National Library Week 2008. John Kennedy, owner of Kennedy Oil, spoke about the oil boom that began in the 50s and continues to this day. Paul Konrad, veteran Gillette police officer, shared stories starting in the late 70s of efforts to restore law and order to the boom town of Gillette wherre many liked to work hard, drink hard and fight hard.
