Summary
One the fastest growing sports in North America is climbing; this film presents portraits of many of the world's top climbers in their own disciplines. Filmed amongst lush mountain landscapes ranging from Alberta to Greenland, the documentary engages the media image of climbing as a reckless, dangerous, life-threatening, and chaotic activity to reveal the obsession with planning and detail demanded by outdoor climbing. With rock, ice, mixed, aid and alpine climbing as well as big-wall expeditions, hard sport routes, and free-soloing, the stunning cinematography displays a compelling vision of today's world of climbing.
