Summary
A peaceful evening of stargazing for math teacher Daniel Hood turns tragic when his telescope focuses on the brutal murder of a young man on the pier in front of his house. Daniel saw the killer's face and he knows it does not belong to the prime suspect, Neil Cochrane, who was accused-but never convicted- of similary brutalizing three teenage boys ten years earlier. The police want an open-and-shut case. However, hood insists on proving them wrong. Close friend Brodie Farrell, single mom and owner of the eclectic search service, "Looking For Something," knows Hood well enough to understand he will settle for nothing less than the absolute truth, but not even she could predict the dangerous path his reckless quest to find the real kiler will take or the twisted, tortured and ultimately tragic secrets that lie at the heart of the crimes past and present.
